Pros

Wide selection of projects to work on

Cons

For my region, the end-of-year review process is not good. First of all, it is based on a bell curve. Not everyone can get the best rating, even if everyone does a great job. It makes it seem like we are competing against our coworkers instead of acting like a team. Second, you are expected to work at the next level of your career path with all those responsibilities and additional work without the actual promotion or pay increase. It should be the other way around - you get the promotion and pay increase then the added responsibilities, but Jacobs does it backwards. It’s called a quiet promotion- you’re given more responsibility without the pay increase until it’s time for your review, and if you’re lucky, they’ll recognize you for the additional work and actually promote you.

Bureaucratic swamp

Pros

They pay usually above market value, but you take a hit everywhere else. Be sure to ask for at least 25% more than what you would normally get.

Cons

Benefits are total garbage. No company phone provided, they expect you to use your own to deal with clients, download apps, access emails, etc. Toxic work culture and a revolving door of current and former clients looking for a 'retirement plan'. Layers and layers of bureaucratic red tape from 'leaders' who create nothing. Lots of annoying spam emails.

Pros

The pay was somewhat decent for the area before they made everyone take a 25%+ paycut one year into the NGIC contract

Cons

-Poor leadership -Told by one of TBG VPs that it would be cheaper to hire a new kid off the street than keep my current pay, so "take the pay cut or take a hike" -Just flat out dishonest people. Toxic place to work
