Pros

My position was paid well with additional bonuses. There were interesting projects to work on. Many folks on my immediate team were really lovely. The company paid for me to attend learning events and gain certifications that boosted my career.

Cons

- No 401k vesting until 3 years employment - Limited amounts of PTO - HR is useless from both an employee experience and benefits administration standpoint. During my departure I was given several wrong pieces of information about my benefits and left to figure it out myself - My larger department had pockets of toxicity that made it very hard for me to do my job well - Encountered multiple people (manager level and above) who would yell in meetings. When people tell you they've worked there for a long time, it's sometimes because they have fallen so outside of professional norms that they can't go anywhere else - Inexperienced managers avoid conflict, then ask their team to read books and figure it out themselves - Middle managers spend so much time managing up they can't pay attention to the people they're supposed to be managing - The merger with AZEK is.... interesting. The resulting layoffs in the corporate office were very puzzling. Diversity at the executive level has decreased across both gender/race lines - lots of white men - Incredibly blame-driven culture where everyone is just trying to look good and doesn't care about business outcomes - Segment leaders are reactionary and then blame operations for not being able to bring bad ideas to life immediately - Some people are given total leeway to make strategy or purchasing decisions independently without any regard for other parts of the organization

Pros

Decent Salary and benefits package

Cons

utterly useless management, completely braindead coworkers who try to dump work on different departments, and disgusting scumbag leadership. If you work here, you will be worked to the bone, have to put in constant unpaid overtime, and be forced to engage with corporatist nonsense while they lie to your face about job security and their empty “zero harm” mantra.
