Pros

My co workers were super nice and friendly. Cell managers are good, laid back and don’t seem to micromanage. Work was interesting and pretty easy.

Cons

Like others have said the pay here is horrible. They don’t even come close to paying what you are worth. Can be very “clicky” at times. It’s just an entry level company. The turn over rate at this place is very high and my assumption is that’s because people find other jobs that compensate more for their skills. Also, if you want to move up in this company be sure to kiss butt and be a “Yes” man. Monkey see, monkey do and you will have no problem climbing the ladder.

Pros

Innovative workplace, with fast paced projects and room for growth. Most folks have a can do attitude and are team players. Ownership is not afraid to financially invest in the company, its employees and new processes. From a benefits standpoint Janicki offers good health care, and a competitive vacation + sick time package. The owners of the company truly do care about their employees, the work they do, and the community-- unfortunately their actions do not always reflect this.

Cons

From a company culture stand point there is an unspoken culture of fear, unequal power distribution, back channel negotiations, empty "yes's", and the big kicker--- nepotism. The company has great potential, but struggles with cyclical periods of growth and contraction. There is a very evident lack of trust that stems from the owners, down through management levels, expect micromanaging. There is a significant lack of diversity. 98% of management is comprised of white males between the ages of 30-55.

Pros

Indoors, good pay and benefits, short drive to work if you live upriver in Skagit County.

Cons

There are bosses that tell you to hurry up and then go slack off. A lot of employees will smile to your face, then talk bad about you behind your back or even blame you for something when you're not there to deny it. The managers will run with whatever story they hear first, so long as it doesn't make them look bad to their bosses. There is no investigation, nobody else involved will be questioned, and the cameras around the building are just for show. Also, you never even know what your boss is saying about you to his boss. I have been given orders, then had my boss deny giving them to me when his superiors got angry. That same boss would regularly present other's ideas as his own. His idea of motivation was to tell people they would have to do overtime until certain goals were met, leaving to go sit and gossip in another part of the building, then acting like he was doing them some big favor by letting them go when the buzzer rang. Many Leads and Managers will think of a faster sketchier way to do something, then go find someone crazy or stupid to actually do it. The negativity also really got to me. Everyone complains about the company, even the people who make it the horrible place it is. There is never a shortage of rumors floating around.
