Pros

Great vacation policy. Personal accountability is very important here. Good benefits package. They only hire bright, funny, friendly people, so you'll probably be laughing a lot. They've got a very unique take on interactive marketing, and they do it better than anybody else.

Cons

Office space is overcrowded, maze-like, haphazardly constructed, not handicapped-accessible and probably not built to code. It does not *feel* like you're working at one of the top tech / marketing companies in Chicago.

Talent is all that matters.

Pros

Jellyvision has a notoriously ridiculous hiring process-- samples, auditions, tests-- it seems to go on forever. But what that process does is worth it. The people who make it through are almost universally great at what they do. They're people who are talented, driven and committed. And funny. And nice.

Cons

The work can be hard. Deadlines are never fun. Work/life balance can sometimes be tough to maintain. The food in the kitchen runs out early in the week.

Not as cool as it seems

Pros

People can be entertaining at times. Flexible work schedule depending on the job.

Cons

A lack of leadership at all levels of the organization. Most managers are completely inexperienced and lack the necessary skills to lead a team effectively. The leadership is terrible at internal communication. Seriously the worst. Efficiency is not their strong suit. A great deal of money has been wasted because of inefficiencies or mismanagement. They claim to value employees, but they continually fail at it by supplying nothing more than rhetoric.
