A great place to develop technical skills and work on complicated engineering projects around the world. The opportunity to work with the best fire engineers in the world. Recent acquisitions have introduced new service lines which allow for interesting collaborations. Dynamic environment, every role makes an impact and contributes to the success of the organization.

Cons

You need to be happy with a fast paced environment. Lot of freedom to manage your time, but you need to be effective and productive to be successful here.

I was paid well but I know my coworkers were underpaid

Cons

This has to be the most toxic company I've ever worked for. There is no accountability and it feels like junior to mid-level staff have no idea what's going on. It felt like every project went over budget and missed deadlines. My supervisor would purposefully avoid clients until they would call my cell phone yelling at me. Additionally, my supervisor made me feel extremely uncomfortable and it was swept under the rug. My supervior's boss wouldn't allow me to discuss the matter with HR and inserted himself because he didn't want to make it a "thing." Be weary of this company.

Pros

The technical expert representation is second to none in the industry. Many of the offices that I have experienced have a fast paced environment that challenges staff, rewards high performers all while providing a small company cultural feel. Satellite offices allow younger employees to build their local reputation and brand. Career growth opportunities are prevalent for hard working employees. Work-life balance is well above-average.

Cons

Like with any job, employees need to take accountability of their career aspirations and professional development. Those that do not initiate that process, may get a little bit left behind. Diversity has room for improvement, a too frequent issue in the engineering consulting community.
