Pros

What sets Jerry apart is its commitment to testing and improving. The company understands that growth comes from learning, not being afraid of failure, and swift adaptation, and has a lot of unique features, stories and insights to share because of this. You get to work with teams you probably wouldn't have had the chance to elsewhere, which helps you consistently learn and become a more valuable asset overall. Plus, we have a really cool, positive mission that is easy to feel passionate about.

Cons

Moving quick is the expectation, but can also be a great motivator.

Pros

- I have had a chance to work with or at least interact with a lot of people across the company, and can honestly count on one hand how many of those interactions was one where I did not feel supported by my teammate. people here are so supportive and always willing to step outside of their comfort zone / what they normally work on to lend a help hand - Senior leadership is easy to talk to and very accessible, even to the people that do not normally work very close to them. As someone who is earlier on in my career, I appreciate that - Opportunity to work on multiple different things instead of being boxed into something. Opportunities for lateral movement which I've experienced myself and seen others experience as well - Recent push for more in person and virtual gatherings / team bondings

Cons

It's not a downside that is particular to Jerry because you know what you are stepping into when you sign up for a startup - some days are going to be longer than others, some weeks will be busier than others, and you're in it for the long run. You join a startup because you have faith in the leaders, the vision, your team, and yourself to make it happen, and where we are right now, I feel confident that we are going to get to where we want to be, on the timeline that we want to get there by, but you have to be ready to be patient and accepting that your immediate cash comp might not be aligned with other opportunities

Pros

Work in a fast paced environment if you’re looking for that

Cons

They’re going to expect you to work long hours constantly and expect to have to work a full day on New Year’s Eve if it falls on a weekday. If you can’t keep up with their increasing expectations of you or if a hiccup happens in the economy be prepared to lose your job.

Thank you for your feedback. We hire very talented people and do have high expectations for their performance. That environment is not for everyone. We appreciate the feedback on offering NYE as a paid holiday. We do have a generous PTO package that can be used for vacation days as well as 9 paid holidays for Ontario-based employees but are always looking at new ways to enhance our benefits. Just this month, we began giving birthdays as a paid vacation day as well.
