Pros

JESTA is one of those firms that continues to stay under radar, but keeps reinventing itself. It’s almost like a new startup that has been around for more than 5 decades, it has unbelievably vast product portfolio, and a global client list that swears by its partnership and relationship with JESTA. I’ve been around several years at JESTA, and I could firmly say that those with energy, ideas, and with ability to solve problems get recognized by the management quicker than most other places, and I find JESTA a unique place to get exposed to areas wherever ones passion might lie. Most other companies have silos, and one is supposed to stay in the silo one is hired for, but not at JESTA, I have seen people I know who started in the call center but worked their ways up into management. The ones who like a desk job, and are afraid to step up and go beyond in the face of a project crisis, would find it difficult to fit in. The president is among the smartest persons I have ever met, he possesses incredible passion for its products, industry, clients, the associates, and is a visionary in a true sense. The president may come across as overly driven, and demands nothing short of complete commitment from his associates. I have seen some employees who stick around for years, get opportunities to excel, but due to lack of initiatives or drive, end up leaving, but those employees are frankly not cut out for IT industry. I see a recent review of such an employee here who is clearly a ‘desk jockey’ and is in wrong industry, and would have never fit in at JESTA, and upon realizing the imminent exit probably decided to trash the very workplace that offered great opportunity to excel, and somehow ended up staying more than 5 years at the very workplace that he /she despised so much!

Cons

Currently in the process of rebuilding and revamping middle and upper layers of management. Anyone seeking a very clear job structure may find it frustrating initially until discovering the ‘JESTA way’.
