      Difficult culture of complacency and mistrust

      Pros

      Most employees are collaborative and supportive and the organization's software has strong potential for future modernization.

      Cons

      Leadership and long serving staff have been there for 20 years. Experience is valuable but initiatives presented as innovation do not translate into meaningful improvements. Business processes are outdated. Reluctance to share knowledge which may stem from concern about job security. Organization relies on heavily on external hiring and interns but provides almost no mentorship and development opportunities. Career advancement limited to online courses in off time to remain competitive. Monitoring of employee activity using software that tracks computer usage and hourly office attendance. Equipment to support hybrid work is limited, laptops but no standard ergonomic equipment like monitor, keyboard or mouse even though working remotely 60% of the time. Remote work policy are being changed. Compensation does not meet with market conditions and the benefits package are limited compared to similar organizations. Approach to improving a difficult culture of complacency and mistrust are catered lunches when systemic change from the top is needed.

      Good people in a toxic, rigid environment horrible people management.

      Good people but extremely rigid!

      Cons

      It's almost as if the company is resistant to any type of growth. There is always an excuse for why the software or something is not right. The culture is very toxic, a lot of snide remarks and yelling in calls. People are not just resistant to change they are extremely comfortable because they have been at the company since forever.
