Pros

-Get to leave early -Lots of contact with people from around town -Killing down time with pranks, dirty jokes, what have you. -Cool people and good co-workers

Cons

-My biggest beef with Jimmy Johns is the manager's policy on reserving time off. You cannot reserve any days off, ever, no matter how far in advance you ask for them. The manager puts zero effort into meeting employees' needs for personal time off, special occasions, etc. Instead you have to find coverage for each shift -- one girl needed a week off and it took her FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS to find all the right people. -The no-reserved-days-off policy has also spawned a sort of underground mini economy. People now pay each other, sometimes lots of money, to cover shifts because they are so desperate. Things come up and people are paying ten, twenty bucks an hour to cover short shifts. They're compounding the money they've already lost by not being able to work. This goes for sick days, vacations, weddings and funerals, etc. I'm just morally against paying another person to cover my shifts. The amounts of money have just risen over time as people buy into this. -The manager isn't customer or employee-based at all. He's usually in the back, sometimes on Facebook, sometimes on his phone texting. He leaves at 2pm every day, no matter how busy it might be. -Very unreliable enforcement of other policies -- you never know when you're gonna get scolded for eating some bread guts. Some days you see the manager do it himself, other days he scolds you for doing it. -I am scheduled double shifts -- ten or eleven hours -- with one meal and break provided. They expect you to have your apron on and your hands washed as soon as your done with your sandwich. It never feels like much of a break. -No overtime pay, even working twelve hours (until 4 am one recent night). -No other employee benefits to speak of. Really crappy, dead end place to work. Passes the time, makes a measly paycheck, I guess it was worth it for a few months. But I'm gone soon.

Pros

Flexible work schedule, very good pay compared to other fast food restaurants, very fair when dealing with raises, opportunities to move up in the company if you are interested in marketing or managing a store

Cons

its in the fast food industry, no opportunity to work overtime, long hours for management, you won't always find good management at all of the stores.
