Pros

You have First Class Clients. Somewhat clean enviornment. Some recognition in the Community, but nothing you can expand upon. Quality of merchandise is Great( at otd Clearance or BOGTwo Pricing)

Cons

Can't Make enough to afford the merchandise I sell(except at Clearance). Discount is a joke. Scheduling is weekly but one can never count on regular days on or off. Training is non-existant for Managers and Staff alike . You are expected to watch a few cds or videos(?) and then go out and connect with the consumer. Info is Faxed to the Stores ( something new in 1995) but no access to E-mails or intranet. Good people make GREAT suggestions only to be heard by the four overstocked walls around us. Promotional prices and Sale prices often overlap confusing the customer and poorly trained staff equally.

Pros

Decent quality mens clothing can be purchased for a fair price if you can closely monitor myriad sales that constantly adjust prices up and down on short notice. One wonders if the real objective is to keep customers confused. Customers can benefit if sales person keeps them informed. Otherwise next to impossible and you could end up paying a premium instead of getting a discount.

Cons

Hourly rate is just over minimum wage. Job description should read: shipping and receiving clerks who also vacuum, swab floors and perform cleaning services with occasional clothing sales on the side. "Heros and zeros" refers to recent management memo to employees just after Christmas season that had exhausting 12 - 15 hour days. Content: berates those who did not sign up corporate accounts during Christmas season. No acknowledgement of employees long hours and great efforts that made season a success for the company. Customer relations are dealt with in a most negative manner. Company has a policy that basically claims when a customer complains, the employee is wrong until proven innocent. Yep, wrong! before anyone knows anything. Of course if they paid better they would get better quality salespeople and....wouldn't have to resort to such nonsense.
