Pros

The environment at Jobber is extremely inclusive and supportive. Everyone truly lives out the values in their day to day work. It is a workplace that makes everyone feel welcome and heard. It is a place where you not only get coworkers, but friends as well. Some of the other pros are that the work is always changing. New features, ideas and challenges are always being introduced. Solutions are left up to the team and Jobber does a good job making sure that everyones voice is heard. Work moves quite fast, so I don't find you are stuck working on the same boring task for a long time like other places. There is also quite a good focus (at least on my team) on career growth. There are regular 1:1 meetings with managers to make sure that all employees are happy and working towards some sort of goal in their career. This has helped me to grow, and also work on things that keep me very interested in my work. The office culture and perks are also great. Ping pong, foosball, stocked kitchen, free drinks, lunch brought in weekly. Jobber has all the perks of a well run tech startup.

Cons

Walking up and down 3 floors after exercising kind of sucks. Good thing there is an elevator

Pros

Jobber is hands down one of the best tech companies you can work at in Edmonton. Lots of smart people, friendly working environment, always paying attention to the latest technologies. I have witnessed lots of changes happened in the past 12 month or so, teams are more oriented, better standards are made, more and more processes are automated. For Devs who are reading this, here are some key words, NEW Mac gear, github, agile, scrum, continuous integration, micro services, etc etc.. For myself, using Ruby on Rails and ES6 is so much cooler than the other languages XD

Cons

With very rapid growth of employees, it's hard to get to know everyone on every floor as before. Parking is another pain in centre downtown, fortunately it's close to LRT and bus station.

Too much politics

Pros

You get brand new laptop and good health benefits. Other than that I don't see anything good.

Cons

There is too much politics in the company especially in the engineering team. Founder CTO prefers to assign new projects and challenging work to his buddies. It doesn't matter how hard you work or smart you are, you gotta play the politics to grow in this company. I am already looking for a new job.
