You can up your social skills, make long lasting friendships and the discount isn’t too bad.

Cons

Understaffed, grueling labor, creepy people; they tend to hire young pretty girls but also hire older men that are creepy. It also feels like a frat like the guys are forever in sigma phi beta… if the girls who were bullies didn’t get a nursing degree then they definitely decided to work at Joe

Pros

The job tasks themselves were pretty easy. Not complicated to make a sandwich or coffee. Nice coworkers who were fun to talk to. Free parking was provided. The pay and tips were excellent.

Cons

Coworkers were constantly calling out the day of their shifts putting more pressure on the people who showed up, especially since it was a busy area. Often training for new workers were onboarded onto general team members. General team members were encouraged to not take their lunch to support the team and make sure to support the overwhelmed team members who were left. Constantly understaffed and left with the feeling that they could not succeed. Was hired as part time but was working with fulltime hours and no fulltime benefits. Coworkers would come into work sick and sneezing due to the couple hours ahead callout rule and I had to be the one to make them go home. The employee turnover rate was enormous.
