The people. Many of the individuals that work here are great. Overworked, but great. There is a potential for this to be a great company- but not under the current management.

Cons

The company doesn't really seem to care about people and lacks clear direction at the executive level. The leadership team can't seem to agree on what should be done. It creates chaos and a very tense culture. Some of the managers have no clue what their direct reports even do and if they were told, they wouldn't understand it. No raises, no bonuses and you do the work of at least three people. The culture at all offices is just awful. The stress is incredible.

They do have employees who care and work to maintain some method to the madness, but it is a useless attempt.

Cons

Upper management does not have a clue how to run a corporation. It is a buch of boys playing with their toys. They do not care about the employees, and are only out for profit- which they aren't getting because they don't know how to run a company. (See the vicious circle?) So they buy and sell, and buy and sell....and merge. There is no job security at this company. When I was hired a year ago I hired on because they said they had been in business for over 100 years and were stable. Then they sold the division. People uprooted their lives to work for Joerns and they turn around and sell out- that is what this company is all about. And they will show you a nifty littly brochure called the Joerns Way.... they will tell you it is how they run the company.....Yeah- and I have a Unicorn and forest creatures clean my house so its nice for that prince with the glass slipper. So if you are looking for a company where you put in 60 hours a week, give up your holidays for their impulsive demands, watch your co workers run in circles because they cant make up their mind which direction they want you to run, love being lied to on a daily basis, and watch good hard working people be taken advantage of- then this is the company for you. If not- run like hell- do not drink the coolaid.
