Pros

Small, close-knit working environment. International exposure.

Cons

Very strange company. Extremely young and bizarre culture. CEO is slightly unstable who frequently had mood fluctuations and often extremely unprofessionally, not only within the team but with clients and other business associates.

Pros

In my 15-year career in the industry, this is one of the best places I’ve found to grow and build meaningful relationships, and get rewarded :) The company is growing fast and there are tons of opportunities for you to build a career path here. Not everyone can succeed in a sales capacity but the culture here really facilitates an alignment between personal success and organizational success. And the people here genuinely want to do good, and do their jobs right. If you are this type of person, you are going to make a lot of friends here. The company has proven again and again over the past 3 years to be an innovative, reliable employer and a great place to build a solid career foundation. I’m very happy here and I can’t imagine working anywhere else.

Cons

I have been with the company for more than 3 years and while I do enjoy it the majority of the time, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t had its fair share of bumps in the road. I've seen the company hire some wrong people, miss a few sales target, and face steep competition, but we’ve overcome every single obstacle in our path and come back stronger EVERY TIME! This just proves that the CEO's excellent leadership skills and a fantastic company culture drive continuous self-correction and improvement.

Pros

Great team with a very interactive environment. Even though a lot of team members are spread out across North and South American the line of communication is outstanding. My manager was outstanding. Knew his craft and did everything he could to make my day to day great. I think he was held back a little bit by the CEO in some areas but that isn't exclusive to any one company. No doubt a great office with great view. CEO celebrates successes and does her best to take care of people. I truly felt like she cared up until the incident I describe below.

Cons

I think the CEO is brilliant and very much cares for her people. She is often in the office and working side by side with everyone, which was typically a great opportunity to interact with her and learn more about her. 95% of my time at John Galt was great. I loved my job and loved the team. But it all came crashing down so fast, and I am not the first to have that happen to. I did something that I was told to do from management but just happened to be the wrong thing to do and it caused the CEO to openly swear and yell at me in front of others. Even though my boss said I was doing what they had told me, the CEO accused him of covering for me and continued to call me a liar and accuse me of stealing and giving away our clients. It was the single most embarrassing thing I have experienced in the workplace. I was not immediately fired, rather a manager told me that maybe I should go home while things cooled off. I was advised by manager that that would be shift abandonment, so we began to figure out how to proceed. After a discussion I basically had to ask to be fired because I was not comfortable walking out and did not want to quit. I was then fired with the accompanying statement of "so I could collect unemployment". Although I suppose that was kind of them, it was also rather insulting for them to assume that is why I did not want to walk our or quick. I didn't plan, nor did I seek unemployment. I am sharing my experience, not to convince people not to work for John Galt, but to be cautious when you do. I cannot say enough how great my time with them was up until that point. But those final couple hours are something I will never forget, and I am not the first. I witnessed one other experience like mine while I was there and was told of one similar before I started. Quite frankly I was advised to seek legal action because of some of the things said, and for being fired based on assumptive cause with not backing. I do not think it was worth that and I would not want to negatively effect a company filled with people I grew to really like. As far as my rating of the CEO, 95% of my experience was exceptional. That remaining 5%, however, was so painful for me I can only click disapprove.
