Dear Employee: Thank you for expressing your thoughts and concerns. John Muir Health welcomes and encourages employee feedback and questions regarding our work environment. John Muir Health is an independent, not-for-profit health system. Any revenues that exceed expenses are reinvested into the health system to support our employees and physicians, improve quality and safety, add new technology, support our services and improve the work environment.
John Muir Health takes pride in the recruitment and selection of our staff members, including our leadership. We provide a wide array of training in many areas of our healthcare system, including targeted in-depth workshops designed to increase the knowledge and skill level of managers, such as: “Performance Excellence”, “HR Fundamentals”, “High Reliability”, “Leadership Methods”, “Critical Conversations”, and “Plan Do Study Act”. These are just a small sample, and it is important to remember that leaders are reliant on the feedback and suggestions provided by their team to improve and grow in their leadership position.
We also encourage our employees to engage with us, sharing their concerns in the annual Employee Survey. It is our every intention to ensure our workplace exceeds employees’ expectations and that your employment experience with us is a growing and rewarding one.
We also want to remind you of the resources available to you to ensure you feel supported for both your physical and mental health. This includes the Employee Assistance Program, BetterUp Care, and resources available through our medical benefit plan. More information is available on The Hub (intranet). We also welcome you to join the monthly Lunch and Learns, which include helpful information related to self-care.
Your feedback is important to us, and we invite you to take advantage of our "Open-Door" policy, and speak with your Manager, Director, or Human Resources.
