Pros

- Safety FIRST culture is very adamant. - Autonomy to a degree if you know what you are doing for your designated job - Always looking out for you to improve and develop professionally (i.e. online training classes or travel to on-site places to learn) - Willing to pay for certifications/qualifications (i.e. NICET)

Cons

- Lots of paperwork and tedious tasks in addition to your normal duties for your designated job. - Depending on your district/branch, might be "guinea pigs" or "test pilots" for new programs they are currently try to systematically push through even though some processes are indeed well enough to still use. Like the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, why fix it?". - Getting new equipment that is essential for your job is kinda hard to procure depending on circumstances and "other", variable, factors that they remain tight lip about.
