Pros

Friendly work atmosphere with great colleagues. Good benefits and vacation time. Competitive salary with opportunities to advance.

Cons

There is a yearly ethics certification, but ethical behavior is not modeled from the top. Very driven by quarterly results and the concern over layoffs to meet results always top of mind.

Frustrating Fortune 100

Pros

Big company that has lots of discounts for employees due to partnerships. Decent benefits and vacation. Lots of opportunity within the company.

Cons

Constantly laying off employees and terrible communication regarding what's happening with the company including (and especially) mergers. Hearing more about the company from the media than from management. Difficult to get HR and hiring managers to recognize that skills can transfer to jobs in different departments.
