Pros

Great benefits, professional, nice office, decent pay.

Cons

Inside promoting is almost non existent. Certain sites have high turnover and the company structure seems in shambles since the merger. There are too many managers who do not know what is going on or simply don't care.

Pros

Good benefits. The manager's I had didn't try to micromanage but they were so busy with JCI corp "stuff", they really didn't have time to micromanage.

Cons

Application Engineering (AE) is a dumping ground. Anything negative, it's AE's fault, problem or issue but we were not given the authority to fix it. We were expected to help sales people with minimum staffing. AE could double to group and still not have enough support for our customers, sales expected from us. It was a joke. Promote the AEs who give a damn. Who actually stay late to get a job done or are dedicated enough to spend 3,4,5,6+ year with the group. All AEs should get a bonus regardless of pay grade.

Pros

Pays very well. There are some good people in the company

Cons

JCI focuses on looking good and not on being successful. Corporate profits often times come from selling off a JCI owned company that was destroyed after it became too top-heavy from JCI and can no longer be profitable. People use buzzwords extensively when they demand someone do their work for them, but those same people have no idea what those buzzwords mean. Nothing ever gets done. VP's and Directors come and go and leave behind end-trails of initiatives they installed in order to make names for themselves. These initiatives result in bog down systems further preventing anyone from accomplishing anything of value.
