Pros
There are many benefits to working for a company like JCI. The benefits are pretty good, there are many great ways to get involved with the community, and many job opportunities and room for growth. They had many opportunities for training and development and an excellent tuition reimbursement program. They have regular performance reviews and take their employee survey very seriously.
Cons
Johnson Controls is very large with many levels of hierarchy and that means sometimes decisions are very slow or very political. Work life balance wasn't great, but I think that really differed from department to department. Many of the HR policies left a lot of room for the supervisors and managers to be flexible with employees, however it meant policies were applied inconsistently.
