Pros

Excellent compensation and benefits package, bonus program is very good and has paid above target past few years. Love their commitment to the community, one day each year entire company goes into community and performs a service day, associates are paid as of working that day. Truly a community-based bank. Corporate headquarters in Racine (555 Main Street) are beautiful.

Cons

At times long-term associates can have a hard time changing and keeping up with current trends and technology. However, their institutional knowledge is helpful.

Pros

The benefits package is good, you have access to the scj company store and their daycare which is great. Headquarters (555 main) building is gorgeous and great setting to work in. If you get into a well run department it can be a fantastic company and work experience. The new CEO seems to have a great vision.

Cons

There are a lot of bad apples in the company that can ruin the experience. Some departments are incredibly negative and make going in to work each day depressing. Also, there is a lot of talk about developing talented associates but not much action behind it. They only seem to care about talent at the top, not people in the middle trying to get a leg up . Finally, the pay is terrible. They start you at the bottom of each pay scale every time you get a promotion or move to a new position. They seem to care more about how long you've been there as opposed to the caliber of work you do.

Great leadership. Family owned company. Good benefits.

Cons

Small bank that seems to operate like a big bank.
