Pros

This is a fast-paced place that rewards smart and hard working people. The leadership team is especially impressive and capable and good at rewarding talent. The CEO is inspiring and centered, rare in startups these days. The rest of the team is also great, with different teams having their own communication and working styles.

Cons

New positions are heavily skewed towards sales and engineers. It feels like we're not growing holistically. Compensation is on the low end.

Working at Justworks is awesome. It's fast-paced and challenging and there's lots of room for growth. The people are smart, fun and ambitious. The product quality is top notch and people are passionate about coming into work every day - on both the sales and engineering side. People take ownership of what they do and get the autonomy to build new things if they have ideas. Even though our industry is kind of boring (payroll & compliance), it feels like we are building something important and it's fun to come into work every day. One thing I love about Justworks is transparency. Our CEO presents his board decks to the whole company every quarter. Every employee gets to see how we are setting goals and how we are doing. We do all company meetings every Thursday. There's a whole culture of keeping everybody in the loop so we row in the same direction.

Cons

- Comp is competitive but not overly generous. If you take equity into account, it can make up for it. - Current office is too small for us (bathrooms and conference rooms sometimes in short supply) but we are moving to a new office soon.
