Pros

The pay was alright, but honestly not nearly enough for the level of stress that was felt. The moment I left, what do you know? my stress level dropped immediately, and my life is much better for it. A good thing is that there are many openings...but this is because of all of the cons.

Cons

I did not enjoy lying to families about when their issues would be resolved. I did not like having other departments refuse to help me. I did not like leadership that refused to do their jobs other than fuss about insignificant topics. I hated that these families just wanted the best for their students and what do they get in return? missing and damaged laptops and course materials, broke down websites and apps, the runaround from department to department. It was so hard knowing what these people go through. They just want their student to have a great education! It's no wonder people are leaving in droves and choosing other educational choices. I would not recommend this for those needing work OR anyone needing a school choice.

Pros

work from home everyone makes the same

Cons

you do NOT get raises or bonuses; YOU must be a certified teacher and abide by all the laws and rules of being one however they tell you they are NOT a school (they do get state funding money) and they are for profit. Raises are only 1% and that means you make about 65 dollars extra for each year. They do NOT abide when states increase teacher salaries and they do not follow teacher pay raises. Admin micromanages, until they do not understand how to do the work then they make you figure it out and then tell you how wrong you are. It is the most chaotic, unrealistic place to work. You will have over 115 home room students you have to contact and answer any and all of their questions weekly and on top of that you have 400 or more students in your content class. Everything you do is very time consuming and they constantly keep changing the software and platforms they use so you are constantly having to redo work. Oh and NO PLACE TO ADVANCE; the only ones to get "promoted" are the ones who are friends with ones hire up The 1% raise does NOT even cover the increase in the insurance offered either. They also tell you take your days off and then when you do pile more work on you or black days out so you are not allowed to take them off.
