Pros

K12 has a great mission and truly does help families find an education option that fits their needs. There are many very talented employees who have so much to offer to the position, company, and fellow co-workers.

Cons

The culture has changed considerably in 5+ years. The salaries are low for anyone under a director level. There is no career growth, guidance, internal promotions are few and far between. It has become a place that is all about money and not helping families (or employees). Communication is barely there. Morale is the lowest it's ever been. Perfection is expected at all times and employee opinions or ideas aren't important or wanted.

Pros

The training was actually a bit better than what most people said. The materials that were presented were actually pretty decent for what its worth and was quite interactive. The supervisors that were there early on were decent and were their biggest asset. These were the only highlight that was at the company. Everything else was wrong.

Cons

Where does one start here? - The pay is quite awful for the position that is being asked. It needs to be significant;y higher than what it was mentioned. - There is NO work-life balance. - There was a lot of misconceptions that are mentioned in the interview and the ACTUAL job. - Chaotic environment. - Though the training was good, it must be far more realistic for the position at hand. - Accommodations are questionable at best and seemed like it was a difficult process to get something taken care of. - There was definitely a lack of growth opportunities present and will forever be. Quite possibly a dead end position at the looks of it.

Pros

The best reasons to work at K12 are health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance and opportunities to continue your education.

Cons

The management does not communicate with employees about performance issues. The management doesn't accurately and fairly extend advancement opportunities within the office, and promises options that never come to fruition.
