Pros

Work from home They pay you back about $50 of your internet expense.

Cons

You will never get a normal teaching job again. Low preforming students were the parents don't care. Their online courses are bad. They are not to the grade levels they say they are and there are mistakes that still have not be corrected. They are for-profit and would rather have the student numbers then have the student be in a setting that is actually teaching them the skills they need for life. The befits are not worth what you pay and they pay about 8K-10K less then you would get at a normal school. You have to look and apply for new jobs in your school, they don't tell you about them or have them open internally first like a normal school would.

K12 Texas Review

Pros

The children and Families

Cons

Horrible leadership and management in Texas that has led to a mass exodus of great workers. Extremely negative and toxic environment in the office due to the leadership in charge. The leadership is morally deprived, chaotic, manipulative, dishonest and overwhelming incompetent. For an online school that claims to be the answer for bullied children, it has a bully in charge of the office. Also, the HR team commits multiple labor law violations.

Pros

Flexible, work at home, technology provided, data driven instruction. I don't have the health insurance, but the vision and dental is a good deal.

Cons

There are days that I wonder if I am really educating students since we rely on our learning coaches so much. Hours are business hours 8-5. Only 15 days off in summer.
