Poor management at all levels, be cautious

Pros

Work from home, flexible hours, decent pay depending on level of position, benefits are okay. Some travel as well too.

Cons

Management at all levels functions on a level of "building the plane as we fly it." Most management has no formal training and is too busy to learn or provide support. Company lacks a unified focus and continues to promote under qualified people. The lack of HR policies and organizational alignment creates an unstable and untrusting environment. Trust no one. Many people are willing to participate in inappropriate relationships to move ahead or get their way. Company will over work you and step on your personal time.

Not worth your time

Pros

Unlimited overtime if you don't care about balancing your home life. Pay is OK for the area if you don't mind working 3 jobs for one pay.

Cons

High stressed job, negative environment, they encourage you to pat yourself on the back because they don't have time to. Management has no clue what is going on . Supervisors refuse to take Supervisor calls. You have to take a technical support position when the parent has technical issues and troubleshoot problems that occur when which should be left to a tech support team or supervisor. Bonuses are reserved for how the quarter is, QA is free to change things up to fit there goals. The criteria for how you get bonuses is a joke. They reward you with a candy bar like you are a student and treat you as such when you take a stand on an issue and act like they have done everything in the world for you. Only friends of friends get the special projects and the whole call center is like a sorority. Benefits are changing so beware of the bait and switch. They say this is not a sales job but it is. If you like kissing the feet of higher ups, enjoy working above the level of what you are getting paid and brown nosing go for it.

Pros

Work from home opportunity and flexibility in your schedule.

Cons

TERRIBLE pay. I have an M. Ed and was being paid about $500 a month and being responsible for 10 hours a week of work at .25 status. On months that there are only 4 weeks that is only like $12 an hour. It's crazy how terrible they pay and then on top of that they overload you as much as they possibly can. They definitely use and abuse their employees. Advice: Stay as a contractor. They have to pay you more if they give you more students. Once you are FTE status they use and abuse. Terrible company, terrible pay.
