Great products and people- poor/mediocre organization and management

Pros

Flexibility to work from home, wear many hats and learn new things. Passionate and hard working staff with a great product and ideas. Nice to work somewhere you know that at the end of the day...you are doing something for the greater good of the world in helping kids learn.

Cons

Poor organization, many silos, and executive management are all on a different page. K12 needs stronger leadership to prioritize and get everyone marching in the same direction.

Pros

The product development team is amazing. The VP's (not senior or executive) are tremendous leaders who care about the products and the business. They also see employees as individuals and treat people with respect.The leadership is inspiring and wants employees to be their very best.

Cons

The company is too focused on lobbying and threats with lawsuits instead of doing business right. The upper leadership is arrogant and unapproachable. Academic decisions by the educators are overturned by MBA's. It is all business and no academics or concern for children. The negativism and phony press releases are damaging employee morale.

No micro management, co-workers are always working in the best interest of the company.

Cons

Very unorganized management, poor communication amongst management and staff, mangers have no idea what their staff is doing on a daily basis.
