Experience will depend entirely on your supervisor

Pros

Competitive initial offer/salary, decent benefits (401k up to 6.5% match when I worked there; a few different health insurance plans with varying deductibles - all PPO when I worked there; 7 or so paid holidays; PTO (sick and vacation combined) starts at 0 and accrues certain # of hours/week depending on tenure)

Cons

Your experience will depend entirely on your immediate manager. There is little "culture" to speak of at KBR, and little positive or productive communication/interaction between departments in my experience. Always seems like there are nearly as many Chiefs as there are Indians, and very few of the Chiefs are qualified for their positions or particularly adept at managing people.

Pros

Most of the people I worked with were wonderful, hard working, and pleasant. This includes many co-workers in other global locations. IT management was competent and usually thoughtful, but known to be passive-aggressive. Compensation was fairly competitive, but not generous by any means. Benefits were average, yet provided plenty of choices if you could afford it.

Cons

When the new CEO took over and froze all merit raises for 2 years while eliminating 66% of the business units, we all knew it was going to be a difficult ride. Note: Mr. Brady received $5 million in bonuses and stocks above his $1.1 million 2015 base salary. As one of the people that terminated employee accounts, I saw the rounds of layoffs that followed. As the layoffs slowed, we discovered that more jobs would be lost, but this time to outsourcing to Chennai, India. One of those was mine, yet I was always in the top third in group productivity. Training is completely nonexistent outside of CPR and fire warden classes. Job security in every department is now a thing of the past. I understand that PTO levels have been recently slashed.

Pros

Good and skilled workforce, dedicated longtime staff who take pride in their work. Worked there for more than 30 years and enjoyed it. Cutting benefits temporarily due to tough times is understandable and accepted to keep good staff.

Cons

Senior management team with "non KBR" culture took over and are destroying and ruining the company by bringing in their cronies and changing unique benefits KBR gave its 35 + year employees. Morale is not good.
