Pros

Strong mission of helping children in underserved communities succeed.

Cons

No work-life balance. Organization focuses on students as the only stakeholders but frequently forgets about staff or teachers resulting in rapid burnout. Not transparent about processes or responsiveness to feedback.

Pros

The curriculum KIPP DC uses is pretty great, you see a lot of growth in your students. They also offer good benefits.

Cons

There is a lot of pressure coming from co teachers, especially for new hires. Many new hires have no background in education and this can lead to tension in the classroom.
