High salary compared to surrounding districts, lots of classroom autonomy

Cons

Long hours (school day is 8 - 4), staff day is longer. A lot of high needs students & not having enough support.

Great benefits, great pay, great incentives, very resourceful.

Cons

Very long hours that provide little to no opportunity to have a healthy work-life balance. Very strict culture that does not allow teachers autonomy to make the classroom environment their own. No structured breaks for teachers that provide time for teachers to prep and plan without students present.
