Pros

Working as a teacher at KIPPDC has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From day one, the support and resources provided by both the administration and fellow educators have been outstanding. One of the most commendable aspects of this role is the sense of purpose it brings. Every day, I have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of my students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. The joy and satisfaction that come from witnessing their growth and progress are immeasurable. Moreover, the school environment fosters a culture of collaboration and inclusivity. I have had the privilege of working closely with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about what they do. Whether it's brainstorming innovative teaching strategies or providing emotional support, there is always someone willing to lend a helping hand. The support for professional development is also exemplary. From ongoing training sessions to opportunities for further education, the school is committed to helping its teachers stay updated with the latest research and best practices.

Cons

While workdays are exciting, they do tend to be long.

Pros

The adults I've worked with at KIPP DC are caring, hard working, and interested in building more opportunities for their students.

Cons

Working in KIPP DC schools can be challenging because of the nature of the work, particularly post-pandemic. I suppose one of the nice things about working here is that all the other adults have decided these schools and these neighborhoods are where they want to work, too.
