      Pros

      The leader in the field of semiconductor inspection, metrology, and defect review. Large automated opto-mechanical systems, with high end optics, precision mechanics, fast image processing electronics. Engineering is never boring and always poses new challenges. Well developed engineering and production process. Good engineering teams.

      Cons

      HR appears to be set up to protect the company from employee lawsuits, rather than genuinely care about employees. 7 or more layers of management. Engineering process is sometimes superficially formalized.

      Pros

      This review is long overdue. KT is one of the best kept secrets in the valley. - Lots of smart people - Helpful, collaborative culture (egos left at the door) - Good work life balance - Ideas are welcome from anywhere (no one will stop you from trying to improve a process/product) - And something I wish more people within KT realize - there are many opportunities to move from division to division and from function to function. I've moved from apps eng through finance to supply chain. This would have required going back to school or an MBA if I had done this outside. I was given the support I needed to succeed in each of these moves.

      Cons

      - Slightly older crowd but with this comes the work-life balance and maturity of co-workers (again, very little ego)
