Good place to work over all, but be prepared for nasty politics and dicy first level management
Pros
1) Lots of good people who are able to focus and get things done. 2) Over all, a well run company - despite the current challanges of the industry.
Cons
1) First level management can be boarder line incompetent and not held accountable. Many managers tend to take a "cowboy" or "hero" approach to solving problems in an effort to gain visibility and get credit for the save. This undermines established processes and circumvents obvious simple solutions. 2) Culture and values often underminded by politics 3) Large variation in quality of leadership - depending on which division/group you work in. When it's good, it's good. When it's bad, it's really bad and accountability for poor leadership is low or non-existent. 4) Workforce management policies seem to be geared towards reducing the over-all seniority of staff. This yields a lot of bad politics - people focus on their own survival rather than the good of the company.
