If not in Chris W’s circle of 3-4 key people, it just doesn’t matter. Ideal team player of Hungry, Smart, and Humble is very good. Zero humbleness in Chris W.

Pros

Formally known as LDiscovery, LLC for those who see minimally written reviews I was once told, once you leave you will not realize how depressed you really were. Being let go ended up being one of the best things that could ever happen to me, aside from my wife of course. Furthermore, CEO is actually a standup guy, with incredible vision and awareness when it comes to client satisfaction and service, very easy to talk to. He's been able to expand and be open to suggestions. That is the name of the game for the Ediscovery world. But he has had so much success and reward that humility isn’t present anymore. And, why should he, he’s so amazing and wonderful, haven’t you seen the ratings. OMG, simply brilliant!!! 5 stars!!!

Cons

Work life and balance 5 stars?!?!?!?!?!?, what are these people on? E-discovery is a 24/7 commitment. If you sign up for this and have the temperament for it, hats off to you. But it takes your weekends, holidays and family time away. It’s certainly a tradition to be yelled at for not being readily available during the major family holidays, I love this time of year. Makes me feel warm and appreciated when I got to tell the wife working is more important than the temporary holiday time we have together. The only ones who accurately enjoy life are the handful at the top and their extended relatives selectively chosen in each department. But that’s the culture they create, when your PM is on vacation with their family and they are promptly answering emails that’s the standard that will be set. Kroll over family. It honestly should be a balance. But you can’t afford that in E-discovery world The stand-in hierarchy is close because they've built it from the ground up, and rightly so, but it's so apparent you know there is zero chance for advancement in your own career unless you leave, and they will blame anything going wrong on you when you do. And while they gain riches, their workers stay cheap. Lots of knowledgeable employees placed in management roles, but lack in the leadership skills themselves. The people who have stayed are good house cats that never been outside the house. There is a great big world out there, and these cats only know the little box it squats in. I know for a fact former colleagues who have moved on to other E-discovery firms are not only happy because they are being paid way more than their former management, but they still do the same things that they were doing here. No change in responsibilities, but better paid, more PTO, and actually appreciated. They don’t get yelled out for spending Easter with the kids. Not the translucent efforts displayed by Kroll to make it seem like they appreciate you, DON’T DRINK THE KOOLAID!!!. Out of order but side note - They also have employees do some real shady things when it comes to client facing visits. All vendors do this to gain or maintain business, it's never a moral dilemma, you do wants necessary to gain a buck. This ethics is top notch. Acquiring companies is an amazing sign of growth, but really it’s a CEO's chance to sell high and ride off into the sunset, and forget about all the people who put their hard work they put into making them rich. These employees are truly appreciated. Furthermore, once the acquisitions are final, double roles are created and as a low level employee you just slowly watch who gets pushed out, who gets moved away from what they were originally doing, and who just gets the axe. I mean who cares it’s only business, nothing personal. What’s even better, when they read this I’m sure they will ask their extended relatives selectively chosen to write more “awesome work environment,” “poised for growth,” etc.

Most people are nice even if a bit cowed.

Cons

Management: Lack thereof. CEO is a megalomaniac and does not live by his own principles. Most senior management would not even be supervisors in other similar sized companies. Old boy network, team locker room mentality. Infrastructure: Infantile
