Pros

A wide variety of great engineering projects, vary large to very small, across several groups: transportation, civil, structural, project management. In general financially transparent. If you are self motivated and willing to speak up, you can work on what you want, develop your own clients.

Cons

This seems to be very limited growth above the PM level. Pay scale is in my experience low.

Pros

Great place to work for as entry level - up to 3 years. Will get ample opportunities to work on different kinds of projects and clients. Direct daily interaction with clients, consultants, contractors, reviewing agencies. Will get a chance to manage projects and clients in less than 5 yrs. Some flexibility in working hours allowed. Overtime compensation available. Fast paced learning environment.

Cons

Very slow to almost no career progression for mid-level employees due to flat company organization. Bureaucracy in management committee affects career advancement. No authority given to project managers leading to dysfunctional project team and often conflicts - An offshoot of flat company structure. Promises made to employees at all levels never followed upon. Management consists of mediocre managers as leaders. Mediocre benefits and poor compensation - under par with industry standards.
