Pros

Flexible schedule is amazing especially when you have kids. I have been given the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many children and families and I feel like I am really helping people. This was my first job out of college and I have learned so much and gained a lot of amazing friends working here.

Cons

I am not getting rich working here, but the pay is pretty average for a nonprofit.

Pros

At KVC, the staff are energetic, passionate and always willing to help you. The pay is competitive and the organization provides education opportunities and travel for trainings. I can honestly say that KVC actually gives 100% of their efforts and proceeds to benefit the clients they serve. Additionally, you can set your own schedule at KVC for better self-care and management of often longer days.

Cons

While the cons are limited, I would say the long hours and nature of the population served can make it stressful at times, but all places of employment have their unique stressors.

Pros

Some of the best things about working at KVC are the amazing coworkers, flexible schedules, and casual dress code. Doing such difficult and important work can be challenging at times, but it is extremely rewarding!

Cons

As a non-profit organization, salaries at KVC are lower than salaries for comparable positions at for-profit companies. KVC has worked to address this by raising salaries for some positions recently.
