Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We love hearing that you know your boss and leadership team truly care about employees and want you to succeed. You are right that workloads and expectations can fluctuate or feel uneven. This is something that almost all employees deal with regardless of their organization, however we will take your feedback to heart and look for ways to provide clear and balanced expectations and workloads so that KVC continues being a great place to work. We hope you stay and keep contributing for years to come!

Thank you for your review! It looks like you work for Niles in Kansas City, MO which is the newest member of the KVC family. We will look for ways to continue improving communication and making sure that the integration of our organizations go smoothly, which is important for the families we serve as well as for valuable staff members like you. Thank you for calling out some of the benefits of working for KVC including our mission, onboarding experience, opportunities for growth and advancement, and assistance obtaining student loan forgiveness.

Pros

KVC isn't a big company, so it doesn't take a lot of time to become familiar with all of the people working for KVC. We have a good sense of teamwork, because it takes everyone doing their job to keep a safe environment. There is affordable health insurance, paid time-off days, free meals sometimes, company events, overtime opportunities, chances to exercise while on the clock, and we can call-off for work anytime we cannot and/or should not go to work.

Cons

There is a high risk involved, especially at my current position of Counselor, for needing to put yourself in harms way and having to do dirty work e.g. I have been punched, kicked, spit on, bitten, pinched, screamed at, had to assist with routine hygiene, and had to put up with a lot of disrespect and ignorance.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate you calling out some of the positive benefits of working at KVC while also noting some ways we can improve. Safety is a top priority for KVC but maybe you have some suggestions on how we can do even better in this area? Since you are a current employee, please feel free to speak with your supervisor and other leaders on site. We need your ideas and suggestions to make KVC the best it can be. It's important that we keep you and the children and families we serve safe.
