Pros

Kadiant used to have paid RBT training, and values that promoted ethics, client advocacy, and "Kaizen"- essentially always striving to be better and do better.

Cons

Kadiant acquired by an East Coast company called Attain about 9 months ago and since then they have eviscerated the staff, all upper management is located on east coast, and seems to have zero idea or interest in staff or clientele on West Coast.

Pros

Getting to help clients and their families and working with others who love to be this positive presence. I do think new management is trying to get things somewhat back on track and I think they have the wellfare of the clients in their hearts.

Cons

Lack of communication, lack of consistency, dictation of change without follow through and clear communication regarding the change. Quick to pull the trigger with HUGE changes, yet dilly dally on giving updates and communication regarding these changes. Keep promising things by certain times and have not followed through on any of these time promises. There has been an overall feeling of unease and unsettling since the acquisition and not much has been done to alleviate this.

Pros

In the beginning of my time working with Kadiant, I had a case load that was manageable and my mileage was well reimbursed. My supervisor was really helpful and schedulers were also great.

Cons

Once COVID-19 hit, I got all my case load taken away and only left with one client, Monday through Friday from 9-5pm in one of their clinic locations. At first, I was really understanding even though it was taking a toll on me trying to be with high spirit energy trying to run lessons to an autistic child. However, after a year later with the same client and same schedule, I started to crack. When I first applied to this position, I expected to learn and grow from the experience that I expected to receive. It felt more like a daycare and a business than a therapeutic environment. I started to become sick and would request days off to make it to my appointments since my schedule wasn’t flexible but my work environment would make me feel guilty my stating that they wouldn’t have coverage. I never experienced feeling burned out at a job before! I felt so underpaid and undervalued. After having 2 years working here, I finally decided to quit because my mental health was at stake and I needed a fresh new start away from this environment. Best decision I ever made.
