This was the worst job I’ve ever done! Yes I knew that the children were autistic and that they would be aggressive I’ve worked in this type of environment before. But this was extreme. Everyday I would go to work and be literally abused. I would work with a child and get spit on for 30 minutes straight. Or get hit of 30 minutes straight. Or get pitched. Or some combination of everything. And the worst part was I wasn’t allowed to stop them! I had to just sit there and take it. And there was no one that I could talk to because this is how they run the school. The school is very clickish so I didn’t feel supported or like part of the team which made the situation so much worse. It was a horrible experience. And they wonder why they can’t keep people. 3 people who were hired in the time I was there quit and I soon followed.
