Pros
No matter how useless, unskilled or disruptive you are, as long as you show up for work they hang on to you - that sentence describes the management team. Many of the non-management employees have 10+ years in with many weeks of vacation and waiting for retirement (vested). Once retired many get called back as contractors since no planning was ever done for attrition. If a person leaves (and doesn't get called back for $100/hr) , what they were doing just piles up under a clueless management team. There are many well paid managers at Kaman that likely couldn't hold on to a part time job at Wal-Mart.
Cons
This is an upper-level management country club built and shaped by the Kaman Family and their friends. There is no significant quality or technology backbone in this company anywhere. Lots of buzz-word programs, power points slide-shows and enough BS to fertilize Kansas. They are good at money games, tax laws and wringing every nickle out of their acquisitions. Unless your an accountant or lawyer (even so) don't bother with this place.
