Pros

Good personal time policy. Some managers are really flexible in letting you take time off. Recent company buys look like a good move to expand the business.

Cons

Paid to work not to think. The Good Old Boys club is still very much alive. Upward mobility is possible only by leaving and coming back. Pay raises are non-existent. The cost of living adjustment is a joke and barely accounts for inflation let along benefit cost increases. Young employees are not challenged enough so they leave. The company

Honestly, none. The legacy of the old days (1960's) are fun hear about.

Cons

This is a dying company. They will likely stop shipping product next year. The quality problems with their primary customer, the government, are too numerous to recount here - they've been sued for knowingly putting substandard parts in products, numerously failed acceptance testing and have no viable quality control. The management team is the third group in 5 years who have been ineffective cleaning this mess up. The government has lots of places to procure these parts from, Kaman never wins new business. In a good economy this place would have emptied out and closed by now. It's sad to see people trapped on this sinking ship.

Ok pay for engineers if you ask for it when you are hired.

Cons

IT has too much power and can make it difficult to work, and hey do not understand the technology. HR is run by a micromanager. They are worry about the time clock and not progress. Christmas bonus is a 15.00 butterball coupon.
