One of the worst run companies I’d ever worked for. There are member of management whose incompetence is absolutely staggering. One previous reviewer said they “fail upward” and that’s 100% correct. Forcing a return to the office is ridiculous. There isn’t enough space to accommodate folks and the hotel style seating is just silly. If someone were looking to start a job with KAO I would tell them to avoid at all costs. To any remaining employees, I’d advise you leave before things get even worse.

In my experience, this is a toxic workplace with significant leadership issues. Management often engages in gaslighting, dismissing or minimizing legitimate employee concerns, which erodes trust and accountability. Leadership also plays favorites, creating unequal treatment and resentment among staff. There is no real company culture—gossip and talking behind coworkers’ backs is common, and collaboration is replaced by competition and fear. If you are successful or show growth potential, it does not feel supported. Instead, management appears to look for ways to undermine or bring down high performers rather than develop them. One of the most concerning issues is how serious employee matters are handled. The company seems to prioritize customers and its public image over employee well-being. This leaves employees feeling unsafe, unheard, and unsupported. Overall, the lack of trust, accountability, and effective leadership makes this a difficult and unhealthy environment to work in.
