Pros

The technology holds potential but is unfortunately overshadowed by significant leadership challenges.

Cons

The organization suffers from pervasive issues of inexperienced management across the commercial side of the organization. The CEO introduces new initiatives on a whim, which end up being short-lived and ineffective, leaving the commercial team disillusioned. The CCO lacks firsthand experience with sales demands, leaving them out of touch with their team's challenges. VPs for medical sales often engage in behavior that undermines and alienates colleagues. One VP, in particular, has criticized employees for using anonymous platforms to express grievances, branding them as cowards. Another bizarre quirk of this company is that the "medical science liaisons" are misleadingly employed under medical sales and have little to no interaction with the medical affairs department. Their role is to be clinical sales managers and sell tests under the veil that they are "providing medical education". Senior leadership regularly demonstrates unprofessional behavior, gossiping about one another and their employees with other employees and pitting team members against one another. They are consistently distracted by endless and ongoing ego-driven conflicts amongst themselves. Senior leadership's "gaslighting" of employees is commonplace, and they have gotten so comfortable with this being the norm that it even occurs 'out in the open' during group meetings. These inexperienced leaders operate with a top-down, authoritative approach and micromanage staff despite their lack of experience in performing that very job. When the team's performance dips, blame is placed on their employees instead of taking ownership and leading by example. The company's hiring and promotion process seems arbitrary and lacks a standardized or fair approach. The resulting promotion of inexperienced team leads, who lack the experience necessary to do the role of those they manage, has contributed to a cycle of blame and accountability avoidance. Compensation and rewards are inconsistently distributed, often based on the whims of management or their 'favorite of the month', with half-yearly evaluations that leave employees uncertain about their future rewards. Unfortunately, despite awareness, HR has not addressed these issues and instead prioritizes public image and obtaining awards over internal improvements. Overall, the company culture for the commercial team is notably toxic, and team morale is abysmal. I would not advise anyone to join the commercial side of this company.

Pros

In the eloquent musings of our society's discourse, "innovative technology" is oft likened to the dawn of a new era, a veritable renaissance of ingenuity and invention that promises to usher in advancements hitherto undreamed of. It is the alchemy that transforms the mundane into the magnificent, beckoning the future to meet us in the present with open arms. This marvel, dear reader, is the embodiment of human creativity and ambition, a beacon of progress that lights our path toward unfathomable discoveries.

Cons

In an era where transparency is oft celebrated, the concept of the "glass door" emerges as a beacon of revelation, allowing one to peer into the inner workings of an establishment before committing oneself to its service. Yet, what one might observe within certain corridors of power could indeed give pause to even the most intrepid of souls seeking employment. Imagine, if you will, a Chief Executive Officer whose ears seem closed to the counsel of those surrounding him, a veritable island unto himself. This same figure proclaims the advent of studies designed to elevate prices, yet these studies are as ephemeral as the morning dew, leaving those of a clinical persuasion within the commercial team in a state of disillusionment. The method of selecting one's companions, or employees in this case, is as whimsical and varied as the whims of the CEO himself, casting aside any notion of uniformity or fairness. The stratagem for rewarding one's labor is divided into halves of a year, with the fate of the latter six months shrouded in mystery, dependent on one's performance in the former. And then, there is the curious practice of documenting accusations of "gaslighting" upon flip charts during gatherings, a testament to the atmosphere cultivated within these hallowed halls. The Chief Commercial Officer, a figure never having tasted the rigors of commercial battle nor felt the weight of a sales target, stands ignorant and untested from the experiences of those they oversee. Vice Presidents, described in terms not befitting the pages of polite society, are whispered to be the bane of every alliance, harboring tendencies to malign and forsake their compatriots whilst navigating their own tempests of mood. A particular VP has been heard to disdain those who seek refuge in the anonymity of online platforms to voice their discontent, branding them cowards, a sentiment that reveals much about the culture pervading this establishment. And so, dear reader, if you find yourself betwixt positions, perhaps this venue may serve as a temporary haven, a place to rest one's weary head until a more congenial opportunity presents itself. However, for those currently engaged in employ elsewhere, I urge you to consider with utmost caution the prospect of allying oneself with this organization. In the world of employment, as in all things, forewarned is forearmed.

Pros

The technology has potential but even this cannot overcome poor leadership.

Cons

This company is inundated with inexperienced management on every team. The CEO is unilaterally fixated on dinner programs and cancer patients to influence testing, “medical science liaisons” pretend to be medical affairs but are actually on sales incentives and there are unqualified VPs who gossip incessantly. Narcissism and unregulated egos ruined the company. Managers lead with an authoritative leadership style, treating employees with disrespect and micromanagement. HR is aware, but they turn a blind eye as they are more focused on responding to reviews on Glassdoor. The toxic work environment and/or lack of promotions for successful, qualified employees led to constant sales turnover and the loss of star employees. Most team leads are now inexperienced in their positions and blame employees to hide their own mistakes. The positive reviews from this site are from managers —- they post anonymously to recruit top talent with no interest in treating these individuals with respect and commendation. It’s obvious that Karius is just hiring for a new bunch of individuals to mistreat while leadership lines their pockets and takes credit for ideas. Don’t fall for the statements of growth potential and positive culture; it’s a lie. A lie that they will keep telling you until you decide to leave and they hire another fresh inexperienced person to mistreat and fill your spot.
