Pros

Strong adherence to project management principles.

Cons

Keane India is the focus of the company. If you work in the US you aren't the focus of the company. Likewise the salary scale is on the low side. Keane uses a strict ranking system for promotions and incentives, they re-rank yearly and if you aren't in the top 10% year over year you will see stagnation. Also, like many other companies the promotions go to the people who best self promote. Middle management likes to distort the picture for upper management.

Pros

Keane is best place to work if you want to have a job and take it easy. Nobody bothers you with your job and no micro management. Consultants are respected and HR is great in terms of support and answering questions. Good pay package.

Cons

No clear goals. Career growth can be a problem. Nobody does a follow up on utilizing your skills and improvement of the same. You may get unnoticed easily. Somehow you feel like you are just working as an individual and not important to the firm.

Pros

You get access to a wide variety of technologies and varied roles. You are often thrown into challenging positions and have to sink or swim. Peers are often competent and likeable.

Cons

They are only interesting in sending work off shore to inexpensive, under-trained and poorly treated staff. I imagine this has got much worse since I left. The fact that this approach is entirely failing to bring benefits to he customer seems to be ignored. The only success stories are due to heroic efforts of individuals, both on shore and off. The system is desperately flawed and communication between onshore and off has broken down completely. There is a lot of talk about employee rights, but this is not taken at all seriously. Senior management is utterly without direction or strategy, except for cutting of costs.
