Pros

Keane has been through dramatic changes through the mergers and acquisitions of the last ten years. Through it all, I've found a loyal core team that has remained with Keane at my local branch and helped provide continuity through all the changes. It is a good group of people. While the branch model is not nearly as strong as it was back in the 90s, the presence of the branch model concept helps provide some stability in the geography of the work you may be asked to do.

Cons

The company is still very much of an outsourcing company, so you won't find as many growth opportunities in new technologies as at some competitive firms

Cons

Low visibility of what you do is one of the great demotivators. Also Keane is not a good paymaster for talent so if you want a long term contract the company is good but if you want a higher salary this is not a place to be in. Also at Keane the you do not have a manager looking for your career growth Keane, Inc. (NYSE: KEA), helps clients to improve their business operations and IT effectiveness by delivering a broad range of business consulting and outsourcing services designed to achieve near-term and sustainable business benefit. Pros

Strong adherence to project management principles.

Cons

Keane India is the focus of the company. If you work in the US you aren't the focus of the company. Likewise the salary scale is on the low side. Keane uses a strict ranking system for promotions and incentives, they re-rank yearly and if you aren't in the top 10% year over year you will see stagnation. Also, like many other companies the promotions go to the people who best self promote. Middle management likes to distort the picture for upper management.
