Decent salary, but huge lack of benefits and toxic culture

Pros

Salary seems really great until you start and realize there are absolutely no other benefits. They pressure you to sign the offer in less than a business day so that you don’t have time to read through the lack of benefits. They think that simply giving health insurance is a “huge benefit”.. as you can see by how they reply to existing reviews criticizing their lack of employee care. There is no 401k match, no expense portals for travel, no home office stipend (or any stipend at that), no paid holidays first the half of the year, no paternity leave, no maternity leave.. I could go on and on. This company was founded in 2011 and there’s no excuse to be this behind the curve, especially as a software company.

Cons

- Morale is extremely low. The CEO creates and fosters culture of fear and intimidation. There are no actual co workers, everyone works in silos and is terrified to be let go for no reason at all so it is a very solitary role, even if you work on a ‘team’. The leadership team is full of people who have no idea what they’re doing. Anyone they hire with any grain of real experience knows better and leaves this place ASAP. Everyone I know is actively looking to leave this place or they have 2 jobs or they are coasting for the paycheck.

Keeper is a high-growth, performance-oriented cybersecurity company with ambitious goals, and we strive to be transparent about the pace and expectations that come with that environment. While this type of workplace may not be the right fit for everyone, we are proud of the talented team we have built and the meaningful work our employees do every day to support our customers. We appreciate the feedback regarding benefits and have taken employee input into consideration as we continue to improve and expand our programs. Keeper remains focused on rewarding performance, supporting employee growth and building a strong, collaborative team as the company continues to scale.

Pros

Remote work, but then you realize that conditions for employees are not acceptable. There are some teammates who are ok, but they don’t stand long here. The core problem is leadership. Management and CEO create a culture of fear, instability and disrespect which undermines the entire organization. CEO is the threat to this company.

Cons

The product and its processes are fundamentally broken. Proper operational structure does not exist and the company is shrinking as a result. I would never deploy this solution to any environment, it is not trustworthy. Outside of DevOps, all operational processes are reorganized as employees cycle in and out within months, either leaving voluntarily or being laid off. The company is extremely cheap: poor compensation, the worst medical insurance I’be seen and 401k which does not include core funds. When you learn about company, it becomes clear how CEO and CTO managed to run it - regardless of the damage to employees. They bring culture of burnout and pressure. No loyalty or professional development.

Keeper is very proud of our leadership, product, and employee experience and strongly disagrees with your characterization. Keeper continues to invest heavily in product innovation, security, and operational rigor and we are trusted by thousands of organizations globally. Our leadership team is focused on building a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. We also want to address several inaccuracies. Our benefits package includes platinum-rated health insurance plans with deductibles that are significantly below market averages, as well as a 401(k) program offering a broad selection of core funds that are performing at or above industry benchmarks. We regularly review compensation and benefits to remain competitive and support our employees’ well-being. As with any growing organization, change and high expectations are part of the environment, but we are committed to providing structure, development opportunities and support for our teams.

Pros

Good product. Bonuses each month. Outside of that nothing really good to say.

Cons

Account Management roles carry significant expectations for expansion and pipeline generation, which can feel closer to a hybrid AM/AE role. Quotas may depend heavily on renewal timing and customer budgets, not just activity. As the company grows, priorities and processes can shift quickly, requiring constant adaptation. Managing a broad portfolio while pursuing growth opportunities can stretch bandwidth, and success often depends on coordination across multiple teams. Like many scaling tech companies, organizational changes can occur, so stability may vary with market conditions.

We continuously evaluate how we define roles, set quotas and allocate resources to ensure they are aligned with both business objectives and employee success. Cross-functional collaboration and adaptability are important components of our culture, but we also understand the need for clarity, consistency and manageable workloads. Your feedback around role definition, territory alignment, and transparency is valuable and these are areas we actively review as we continue to grow. We remain committed to fostering an environment where employees can succeed, develop and feel supported.
