Many of the recruiters seem overworked. My recruiter did not know the extent of my responsibilities in the position

Pros

I had a great two years working as a contract employee on site at Dow Agro Science. We were given great training and opportunities. They were really good about allowing time off when not busy and scheduled in advance.

Cons

There were slow periods where there wasn't enough work which made days go slow. Being hired full time rarely happened. People remained contract employees for years.

Pros

flexible hours with in the company I was contracted through, limited Kelly Services interaction.

Cons

Not a lot of incentives for career growth and a lack of knowledge for full time positions. The company clearly was not very honest when it came to hiring knowledge within the company I was contracted for. There were no future dates as to when I would be full time. Getting a raise was very difficult.
