      Rehire at Kemper

      Pros

      I had started at Kemper as an Intern in 2019 and then was offered a full time position in 2022. Recently I was laid off in April 2023. I was able to get rehired at the end of May 2023 with a different team at Kemper. I have really enjoyed working at Kemper, everyone is really nice and amazing. There are plenty of opportunities for growth and there is a drive to continue to learn, either current skills or new ones. The talent acquisition team was also amazing when I was looking to get rehired after I was laid off. The recruiter I worked with was outstanding. She kept me updated during the whole process and worked with me to find a team that I could work with based on my skill set.

      The pay was decent and benefits were good.

      Cons

      The work culture is terrible. Nobody knows what they are doing and total lack of support from all levels. There was several lay offs without warning and work then gets dumped on remaining employees. The expectations were constantly changing - almost on a bi-weekly basis. Very unorganized and company is not transparent.
