Pros

Wonderful, friendly colleagues Many opportunities to increase professional skill base Great, mostly relaxed work atmosphere Everyone's genuine interest in their jobs (related to faculty development)

Cons

No opportunity to turn assistantship into full-time position due to departmental budget constraints Occasional miscommunications among staff hierarchy but nothing too problematic

Pros

I have an extremely flexible schedule that allows me to live a balanced life. I can telecommute and work on my degree that is paid as a benefit of full-time employment. There is a pleasant environment and many opportunities to grow and learn.

Cons

No one has gotten any raises at KSU in 5 years. They charge a great deal for parking and that amount is going up. There is little movement or promotion within your department. HR has too much control over employment issues. Only those who play the politics get ahead. No good deed results in promotion.

Pros

They were really helpful with questions. It was a friendly work environment in an enjoyable atmosphere. There was a lot of time to work on homework or projects.

Cons

Communication in my department about recent news was lacking at times. Managers could be really hard to get a hold of sometimes.
