Pros

Great benefits (vacation, sick time, institutional closing, retirement, health insurance) Has a great mission, serves Kentucky

Cons

Very low pay, unless you are one of the chosen ones. Lack of raises and promotions. And if there is a promotion, so much red tape in HR. No vision insurance Very little flexibility on working from home. Need more flexibility in schedules. HR leaves a lot to be desired. Very vindictive, secretive. They choose how they want to interpret labor laws. Too many meetings. Very low morale. PPE system is ridiculous and useless.

Not overly terrible schedule. Students Pretty area

Administration lacks ethics Extreme nepotism A lot of retirement padding Faculty are treated like the bottom of the bottom in the hierarchy A pay audit was done by a 3rd party, showed that faculty in KY receive the LOWEST pay of any faculty in the entire country. So they created a new "lower" faculty level (lecturer) so that it appears like you're doing better than you were. They do not consider education or experience when deciding salary, They ONLY award the MINIMUM regardless of whether you have a PhD and 15 years teaching experience.
