Pros

Unquestionably on the leading edge of marketing (and using technology/data to do marketing better)...and because of this Kepler teams get to be free to create and innovate in a way that never happens at other agencies or consulting firms. It also results in very rewarding client response. Smart people - very strong group of professionals that don't fit the profile of an agency...very analytical, very smart, very good with clients....more akin to mainline consulting firms (but having more fun). Great culture - a clear priority has been placed on establishing and maintaining a culture where great work get done (and there is still room for fun).

Cons

While it has grown a lot, Kepler is still in the later stages of being startup so there are occasionally startup-like headaches (e.g. desk space is tight, never enough conference rooms, one of the founders is the IT department, etc.).

Pros

Kepler's approach to marketing and media is being described in the future-facing comments now commonly uttered by top executives at major agencies. The difference is that at Kepler, we're savvy and nimble enough to apply that approach to the here and now. We're helping clients find their audience in new and effective ways, harvest learnings about that audience and devise efficient strategies to engage and retain them. This is done through a combination of existing and custom tools weaved together by an incredibly committed and capable team of people. The people here are by far the strongest pro, supporting the philosophy of the company at large. There's a focus on continuous learning and analytical decision-making, both on behalf of clients and staff. What's refreshing is that Kepler is looking to expand in such a way where the new business makes sense in the long-term, and can be supported by a knowledgeable team making smart use of their time. All in all, now is a great time to be at an agency that's truly going places.

Cons

As a growing company, salaries aren't always competitive. You can certainly earn more at larger agencies, but there's unlimited vacation which everyone is encouraged to use. Hours are unpredictable, mostly due to the nature of a client service industry but also currently under-staffed - a problem that's being actively addressed.

Pros

Kepler is an innovative firm leading the revolution towards smarter, data-driven marketing. Co-workers are extremely smart and eager to learn, as well as willing to share their knowledge. Management consists of experienced marketers looking to deliver real impact for clients. Employees can take on a lot of responsibility off the bat, and there is room to grow professionally. Kepler has a fun, fast-paced culture that attracts top talent.

Cons

Compensation is in line with or better than what other media agencies provide, but below the level that the bright, hard working employees at the company could earn elsewhere. However, the job is truly engaging (I can honestly say I'm never bored) and the skills learned are very valuable, making the compensation sacrifice worthwhile.
